Bringing a storied hospital's brand to life

Despite a significant mission as one of the country’s premier pediatric orthopedic hospitals, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) has always been a magical place. Colorful corridors sport crayon signage and the smell of fresh popcorn, and the walls are filled with artwork and artifacts.

What makes this hospital special is its caring culture and 93-year history of child-centered treatment, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Every patient who is referred to TSRHC is welcomed with open arms. 

In early October, Richards Partners helped tell this unique story in the institution’s first brand campaign, called “Moments.” Through a variety of channels, including television, radio, out-of-home, digital, and print, “Moments” focuses on Texas Scottish Rite patients, whose dreams of dancing, riding, and playing football are made possible by the experts and caregivers at the hospital.

“Using Texas Scottish Rite patients in our campaign brought authenticity to the hospital’s message,” said Stan Richards, president and CEO of The Richards Group. “By putting the focus on actual patients who overcame adverse circumstances, we can show how each one has gotten back to their childhood, fully recovered and happy, thanks to the good work of TSRHC.”
